Abstract Guidelines

• The title no more than 15 words.

• The abstract should be written in English with a word limit of 250.

• An abstract is a summary of a research paper consisting of introduction, purpose, methodology, results, conclusion, and keywords.

• The abstract is written on the MICTOPH website: https://mictoph.fkm.unmul.ac.id/

• Please submit your abstract before July 8, 2023 at 11:59 PM (UTC+8).

• Abstract books are given to participants after their abstracts are accepted and presented at the conference.

Guidelines for submissions of a video presentation

Guidelines for submitting the video presentation at 2nd MICTOPH by virtual :

• The video is sent after participants receive an email for the selected abstract from the commitee

• Please prepare a video presentation, having you presenting in front of a camera OR your voice over the PowerPoint OR a combination of any other creative methods of your preference. For example, you may use multiple screens, one for the PowerPoint presentation slides and a smaller one with you as the presenter.

• The video duration should be 7 minutes.

• All information about the presentation such as title of the paper, authors’ name and affiliation must appear on the first slide of your presentation.

• Presentation should be in English language.

• Please send the presentation video and slides (optional) at least 3 days before the conference day or 3^rd September 2023 via: - Downloadable link (Google drive, etc), Internet File transfer services (WeTransfer, etc) or any other acceptable methods.

• Recommended file formats: - Video presentations: MP4, MPEG4, MOV, WMV, FLV, AVI, etc - Presentation slides: PDF, PowerPoint

  Video Presentation on the Conference Day:

  1. All presentation videos will be posted in FKM UNMUL OFFICIAL’s YouTube Channel. The links will be emailed to all the presenters on the conference day.

  2. The presentation video and slides will be made available for view or download by the public. You are encouraged to share the links with your friends and colleagues.

  3. You may receive feedbacks and questions posted by the viewers. Kindly respond promptly.

• 4.  During the actual presentation on September 7-8, 2023, the author/presenter must appear online. After the presentation, presenters can answer questions from other conference participants moderated by each Chair/Session Moderator.

The Video Format

• Videos are required to display the presenter and presentation slides.

• The presenters are required to make presentation videos in English with a maximum duration of 7 minutes.

• Video file format: MPEG-4 (.mp4) file (use H.264 video and normal AAC audio codec)

• Video Size: HD (setting 1280 x 720 or “720p” for other)

• All of presenters need to pay attention to the quality of video recording such as lighting and the sound must be clear enough for virtual audience.

• Maximun video size 100 MB

• Question and answer session (during the event): After the video presentation is played, the presenter must go online (on camera) to discuss guided by the chair/moderator. The duration for the question and answer session is 3-8 minutes. The duration for the question and answer session is 3-8 minutes. Thus, each speaker gets 15 minutes (maximum 7 minutes for presentation).

Instructions for Video Recording

• The video must contain the presentation slideshow along with presentation audio.

• The video must contain the speaker's face.

• Recordings can be made using Powerpoint or others.

Guide to Uploading Videos to Youtube

• Login to your Youtube account.

• In the upper right corner, select the upload video button

• Please select the video that you want to upload.

• Please select the unlisted/unlisted option in the visibility menu. This will make the video available only to users with access to the link. Then click "Save" when finished.

• Please select the copy link button. Then this link will be sent to the MICTOPH 2023 committee via email.

Guide to Sending G-Drive/ Youtube Link via Email

Please send the video link to the email with the subject [Video_2ndMICTOPH_ID Paper_Oral Presenter_Author Name]. Example: Video_2ndMICTOPH _33_Ayu.

Please fill in the email with the following information:

• ID Paper (getting from an email sent by the 2nd MICTOPH committee)

• Abstract title

• Presenter name (can more than one)

• Video link (g-drive or youtube link)

• This email is uploaded to the official website of MICTOPH: mictoph.fkm.unmul.ac.id August 12, 2023 at the lasest.

PROCEEDING (FULL PAPER) GUIDELINE

Important note: Overall section do not exceed 4 pages. Write the proceeding using times new roman 12 with 1.15 spaces

Abstract (Sectioned: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion, Keywords)

Introduction
- Concise and no more than 3 paragraph

• Include the research question

Method:

• Describe the method in concise but clear manner
• The data collection and analysis methods are mandatory

Results:

• Focus on the main results
• The descriptive characteristics and intermediate analysis can be presented concisely

Discussion:

• Focus on the discussion about the main findings
• Provide a brief future consideration

Conclusion:

• Concise and short conclusion regarding the main point
   

Mandatory:

• Conflict of interest
• Funding
• Ethics
• Author contributions
• References: Use AMA style

Article Publication

• Before the conference, participants will be distributed the Book of Abstracts which will be presented both oral presentation and the poster presentation.

• For participants who pass the abstract selection and wish to publish their articles through The 2nd MICTOPH, they can submit their full papers by September 11 until October 11, 2023 at the least.

• Full papers are written based on the guidelines provided on the MICTOPH website. mictoph.fkm.unmul.ac.id

• Full paper uploaded on the MICTOPH website mictoph.fkm.unmul.ac.id through the participant accounts.

• Participants who wish to publish their articles will be charged an additional fee.

Terms of Being a Co-Host

• The co-host offers 15 people to participate in the oral presentation. (can be selected in advance as the internal Co-Host)

• The co-host sends at least two people to serve as Chairs on the presentation panel.

• The benefits gained by the Co-Host include:

  • 25% discount on registration fees for 15 people who engage in the oral presentation (not including the proceeding fee)

  • The Co-Host institution's emblem will appear in all publications.

• The deadline for confirming your willingness to become a Co-Host is July 7, 2023.

Poster Guideline

• Poster should be prepared as electronic posters (in PDF format) for online participants and print versions for offline participants.

• Poster size is an A2 piece of paper with portrait orientation (594mm x 420mm)

• Poster is written in English

• Poster must display the logo of Mulawarman University, MICTOPH, and the logo of the author's institution 

• Poster presentation should clearly describe the core of your research. There are six parts to the poster: title and authors, introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion.

• The graphics, images, tables, and diagrams should be structured and presented clearly. Their number cannot be more than seven.

• Please send a PDF file of the poster  with a maximun size of 10 MB.

• Please submit your poster at least at 1st September 2023 at 11:59 PM (UTC+8).
